Alrbea Times user guide

From plugging in the device to a ready mosque screen, step by step. Menu names here match the app.

Getting started

Connect the device

  1. Plug the device into the screen's HDMI port. It works with regular TVs of any size, landscape or portrait.
  2. Connect the device to power.
  3. Wait a few seconds until the device starts automatically and the prayer-times screen appears.

Open settings

  1. Connect a mouse to the device, or use the remote.
  2. Click the “Alrbea Times” logo at the bottom of the screen.
  3. The settings page opens — from there you control every feature.

  1. Settings: General settings, network, time and screen mode.
  2. Announcements: News ticker, funeral notices and khutbah title.
  3. Photo gallery: Show your photos on the screen.
  4. Adhkar: Morning and evening adhkar, and post-prayer adhkar.
  5. Prayer times: Iqama, prayer duration and Ramadan settings.
  6. Display mode & logo design: Screen saver and the mosque name on screen.
  7. Remote control: Request help from a support agent (needs internet).
  8. Sync & update: Sync settings and get the latest updates (needs internet).

Connect to the internet

Settings←Device settings←Network settings
  1. Choose your Wi-Fi network name.
  2. Enter the network password and connect.

No network at the mosque? Turn on a hotspot from your phone:

Android phone

  1. Settings ← Connections ← Mobile hotspot and tethering.
  2. Turn on “Mobile hotspot”, then tap “Configure”.
  3. Set security to “Open”, then save.
  4. The network appears on the Alrbea Times device with the same name — connect to it.

iPhone

  1. Settings ← Personal Hotspot.
  2. Turn on “Allow Others to Join”. Changing the password makes it easier to connect.
  3. From the Alrbea Times device, connect to the iPhone's network.

Activate the app

  1. On first launch, optional permission requests appear. You can accept them or tap “Skip”.
  2. Enter the 5-digit “activation code” you received from us, then tap Activate.
  3. The message “App activated successfully” will appear.
Note: If “Wrong activation code” appears, check the digits or contact us on WhatsApp.

Set your city

Settings←Location
  1. Choose “Automatic (precise)” if the device is online, or “Manual from the list”.
  2. For manual: type the country name or search for it.
  3. Tap the city you want prayer times for, then “Save”.

Settings←Main settings←Prayer time calculation
  1. Keep the option on “Automatic”, or choose an authority such as “Umm Al-Qura, Makkah”.
  2. From “Adjust Hijri date”, add or subtract a day if needed.
  3. From the same page: language, number format, date display and screen mode.

Iqama for each prayer

Prayer times←Prayer time settings←Choose the prayer
  1. Prayer time announcement: Announces the prayer time for four minutes after the adhan.
  2. Time between adhan and iqama: Set the minutes with the + and − buttons.
  3. Fixed iqama time: If the iqama is at a set clock time.
  4. Iqama announcement duration: How many minutes the announcement stays.
  5. Time taken to perform the prayer: The screen is locked during it.
  6. Repeat for each prayer, then “Save”.

Ramadan & Friday

Prayer times←Ramadan prayer time settings
  1. These settings apply to Ramadan only: iqama, prayer duration and the time between adhan and iqama.
  2. Turn on “Taraweeh announcement” and “Tahajjud announcement”.
  3. “Add half an hour to Isha in Ramadan” or “Adjust Isha in Ramadan”.
  4. For Friday: the khutbah start time and how long it takes.

Change the screen design

Alrbea Times logo←Settings←Design options←Templates
  1. Browse templates with the arrows at the top and bottom of the screen.
  2. Tap the design you like.
  3. Tap “Save”.
  4. From “Iqama counter style” and “Seconds design”, choose the counter and seconds style.

Add a custom logo (image)

Design options←Templates←Customize
  1. Copy the logo image to a USB drive, then plug it into the device.
  2. Choose a template, then tap “Customize”.
  3. Tap “Add logo”.
  4. Choose the USB drive, then tap the logo file.
  5. You can use “Logo color” or “Remove logo”, then tap “Save”.

Text mosque logo

Logo design
  1. Turn on the logo, type the mosque name, and add a second line if you like.
  2. From “Position”, choose the place or move the text with the arrows.
  3. Adjust size, color, outline, shadow and background.
  4. Turn on “Show during announcements/prayer” if you like. It saves automatically.
Contrast warning: If “Low contrast” appears, change the text color or add a background so it's readable from afar.

Adhkar

Adhkar←Morning & evening adhkar/Post-prayer adhkar
  1. Morning & evening adhkar: turn them on and set how long and when they appear, before or after sunrise and sunset.
  2. Post-prayer adhkar: turn them on and set the display duration.
  3. From “Design options ← Adhkar templates”, download templates and enable the ones you want.

Photo gallery

Photo gallery←Enable photo gallery
  1. Put the photos on the device or on a USB drive.
  2. Tap “Create photo gallery” and choose the photos.
  3. Recommended size: 1920 × 1080 for landscape and 1080 × 1920 for portrait.
  4. Set “Duration of each photo” and “Duration of prayer times”.
Note: The gallery closes automatically when prayer time begins.

Announcements

  1. News ticker: A bar on the screen for important information or greetings. Choose scrolling or static, and the speed.
  2. Funeral notices: Shown during and after the prayer.
  3. Khutbah title: Shown during Friday prayer.

Display mode (screen saver)

Display mode
  1. Choose “Enabled”.
  2. Look: a black screen, or with the time and date, and the font size.
  3. When it runs: during prayers, between prayers, time intervals, a fixed period, or after inactivity.

Alerts

Settings←Alerts
  1. “Adhan alerts” and “Iqama alerts”: turn on the bell, then choose the sound: a beep, takbeer only, the adhan of a muezzin from the list, or “Custom”. Tap ▶ to hear it before choosing.
  2. Set the volume.

  1. App language, number format, date display and calendar type.
  2. Show Duha / sunrise, and screen mode.
  3. From “Device settings”: adjust time and date and connect to a network.

Remote support

Remote control
  1. Make sure the device is connected to the internet.
  2. Tap “Remote control”. If “App not installed” appears next to TeamViewer or AnyDesk, tap “Install” first, then open it — a number (Your ID) will appear.
  3. Give the number to the support agent.
  4. When “Allow remote support?” appears, tap “ALLOW” and the agent will take it from there.

Sync & updates

Sync/Update/About the app
  1. “Sync”: sync settings, and “Back up settings to the cloud”, then “Restore” when needed.
  2. “Update”: get the latest updates (needs internet). Wait until it finishes.
  3. “About the app”: version number and license number.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work with any screen?

Yes. The device works with regular TV screens of any size and connects via HDMI.

Does it work in landscape and portrait?

Yes. It supports three modes: landscape, portrait and reverse portrait.

Can iqama times be adjusted?

Yes. Each prayer has its own settings: time between adhan and iqama, or a fixed iqama time, the iqama announcement duration, and the time taken to perform the prayer.

Can the mosque name be shown on the screen?

Yes. From “Logo design”, type the mosque name in one or two lines and choose color, outline, shadow and position. You can also add a logo image.

Which calculation methods are supported?

Automatic by your location, or Umm Al-Qura, Muslim World League, Egyptian General Authority of Survey, Kuwait, Qatar, Gulf region and more — 12 calculation authorities, with Hijri date adjustment.

Can you design a custom interface for our mosque?

Yes, a custom interface design is available for an extra fee. Contact us on WhatsApp.

What is a smart mosque clock?

A device that connects to the mosque screen via HDMI and shows prayer times, adhan and iqama with a countdown, adhkar, a news ticker and the mosque logo, updating times automatically for your city. Alrbea Times is a smart mosque clock with 30+ designs.

How is Alrbea Times different from traditional mosque clocks?

The screen shows everything in large, clear text with many designs, and adds adhkar, a news ticker, a photo gallery, the mosque logo and Ramadan and Friday settings — controlled by remote or mouse.
